Balk Vocal Music Competition
In November we performed at the Dutch national singing competition for vocal groups Balk Top Festival. We L-O-V-E, loved ❤️ to participate and feel proud of what we’ve accomplished. A great milestone after our first year together as Jane Do!
We participated in the category of Small Vocal Groups – 1st class and are proud to say we won:
In September we had our first official performance singing at an event set up by Soroptimist International, raising money for Free a Girl and School for Justice. The development, freedom and opportunities of girls and women are topics close to our hearts and we were honored to contribute in our own way. The backyard culinary and music event had a great, sunny vibe and we loved every second of it!
More about the charities:
Free a Girl is an international organization dedicated to fight child prostitution and impunity. In addition to rescue and justice Free a Girl focusses on the prevention of child prostitution. Also on the rehabilitation and reintegration of victims. In Nepal and India, Free a Girl set up the groundbreaking program School for Justice, where victims of commercial sexual exploitation are trained to become lawyers, journalists, legal social workers or police officers to change the system from within and thus fight impunity for child prostitution.
